Featuring an optical resolution of 2400dpi, the EPSON
Perfection 2400 PHOTO represents the cutting edge of consumer scanning with its
stylish design. EPSON technologies, including On-Chip MicroLens Technology and
MicroStep Drive allow image detail to produce a sub-scanning resolution of
4800dpi. With a 48-bit internal and external scanner, truly outstanding lifelike
colours can be recognised as well as even the subtlest colour changes. The
user-friendly SmartPanel provides on-screen, one-touch scanning control which
users can programme/customise to meet their requirements. The built-in 35mm x 6
frame Transparency Unit can scan negatives and transparencies and is ideally
suited to amateur and professional photographers. Full Auto Mode previews type,
size and inclination of original, selects parameters required, performs the scan
and transfers it to the application. Auto Skew Correction detects the alignment
of the original and automatically straightens it. Auto Document Recognition
detects the type of document to be scanned. Adobe PhotoShop enables adjusting,
editing and adding special effects to images whilst incorporating them into a
host of templates and layouts. Presto!OCR software included.

(640x480) with 256 colours or greater - 800x 600 recommended with 65,000
colours.
